Jesse Siminski, care se prezintă prin cluburi sub numele Heartthrob, și-a pus talentul de producer pe câteva release-uri excelente la Minus, Bpitch sau Mute Records. Sound-ul lui trademark, filtrat de originile apropiate marelui Detroit și de scurte episoade în Paris sau New York, și-a găsit însă locul potrivit în Berlin.

Berghain is my go to club in Berlin for techno!

Your favorite spot for record shopping?
I like OYE records in Prenzlaurberg. It’s not very big, but has a terrific selection and really friendly staff who make you want to hang out and enjoy their shop.

Best brunch you can have in Berlin after a long night dancing?
If I make it out for brunch on Sunday I usually grab a burger from The Bird. They serve the best burgers in Berlin. Very full on american style burgers.

If you want to listen to some experimental shapes of electronic music…?

I head for classic Warp records. Autechre, Aphex, etc. For newer sounds I like Whities, The Trilogy Tapes, Sued. Dark Entries is a fantastic label reissuing more obscure electronics from the 70’s until the present.

Your favourite under the radar club in Berlin?
In the summer Ipse is really nice. It is situated on the river and is very cozy.

A place away from the city’s buzz?
Berlin has tons of space and a lot of parks. It can feel very mellow most of the time. I like to take my dog for walks in the Tiergarten. It’s massive and really gorgeously green.
